“There are 4 important steps in the process that ensures that rugs are returned to their owners in pristine condition”
Pre-wash
- The first step is to inspect the rug to ensure that it is in a suitable condition for washing.
- They are all checked for tears, rips, damaged clips and/or buckles and notes of all repairs required are recorded in the owners’ files.
- In the event that the rug needs some repairs the owner is advised prior to starting the process.
- No rug is washed or repaired without the prior permission from the owner.
Washing
- The rugs are washed on a 40 degree wash.
- If the owner requests, the rugs can be washed on an anti-bacterial pre-wash process which will kill bacteria and/or any germs.
- Turnouts are washed with Nikwax Rug Wash and then if needed they are re-proofed using Nikwax Rug Proof.
- Stable rugs are washed using a non biological detergent.
Drying
The rugs are then hung outside to dry in the fresh air if the weather permits. If the weather does not permit, rugs will be hung in a heated drying room.
Packaging
The rugs are then sealed in a clear plastic bag and labelled with the owners name and number ready for easy storage prior to return.
